First an introduction. Hi, my name is Greg. I have been a member of NPI for almost a year now and I will hopefully be updating the blog on a semi-regular basis.
Today's topic is armchair investigating. No where near as fun or exhausting as the real thing but can be interesting nonetheless. I have included below several sites that have set up webcams for the stay at home investigator.
First, from our neighbours to the south.
Furman Theatre, Greenville, South Carolina
The University was founded by Southern Carolina Baptist Convention in 1825
Moved to Greenville in 1851
I was unable to find the date when the theater was built.
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania
Battle of Gettysburg - July 1-3 1863
A view from Seminary Ridge overlooking McPherson's woods where the first days of the Battle of Gettysburg occurred.
Willard Library, Evansville, Indiana
Built in 1877
Said to be haunted by a spirit known as "Lady in Grey"
Dollhouse Cam, Pennsylvania
Dolls and small children, what could be scarier
Next up the UK, where I think they invented hauntings
Ordsall Hall, Salford, UK
Built in the 15th Century
Said to be haunted by the White Lady. This is believed to be the spirit of Margaret Radclyffe who died in 1599 of a broken heart, following the death at sea of her twin.
LLancaiach Fawr Manor, Treharris, Wales, UK
Built in 1530
Considered to be one of the top 10 haunted locations in the UK
Known for ghostly children and disembodied voices, one room is said to cause many visitors to burst into tears.
And lastly, for now, I am not sure where this particular webcam resides but it looks interesting.
